Commenting

Comments are moderated and may be edited, but just imagine you are having a chat with friends or equals and you won't go far wrong. I welcome polite criticism, but ad hominem attacks and political comments will not get through.

If you want to put a link in your comment to a relevant photo that's on the internet or perhaps to a web page, this is what to type. It's called HTML code. You put:

<a href=" before the web address.
"> after the web address, but before the word you want as a link.
</a> after the word you want as a link.

For example, if you want to write:
This is a Typepad blog.
You write this:

The underlining to the web address appeared automatically; you don't have to do it. The code is only in bold here to make it clearer to see. You can click on preview to check it's worked. It needs to be exactly right or the computers won't understand it, but it's not too hard to do, really.

You can also make your text into italics. Like this:

There's lots more of this HTML code but this is enough to be going on with, at least for making comments!
