There's been a little progress in getting back to normal. On Friday TypePad suffered a DDoS (Direct Denial of Service) attack, striking at them just as they had planned to move everything over to a new data centre.

It's caused chaos. I am still not able to put photos into posts, and many photos already published, even long ago, cannot be seen. Until a few minutes ago I was not able to see comments at all, so if you made a comment before then I'm afraid it's gone for good; please try again.

Mike Johnston at The Online Photographer is another TypePad blogger who has been put through the mill this weekend. As he is in the USA, I was at my keyboard this morning while he was still (I presume) in bed; I just emailed him to say comments seems to be working again.

Have patience folks; It'll all get sorted out eventually.
